We're also grateful to the local people who have agreed to keep an eye - and an ear - on this quiet, sheltered spot. When the Well was last restored, back in 1979, the site was totally vandalised within a year. Can we ask everybody who walks the Burnside Path daily (there are many) to also help protect the site?
