This includes the new bus timetable (updated with effect from April 1, more details below) from the village to Stirling Bus Station. From there, there are buses roughly every 10 minutes to the hospital in Larbert.
If you have a medical condition, require assistance or would be at risk if you tried to travel independently to the hospital, you can book Ambulance Transport. Full details and contact phone numbers are in the folder.
The folder also provides an abundance of advice if you are ineligible for Ambulance Transport. There are other organisations who may be able to help, such as the Red Cross Transport and Escort Service (a contribution against the cost may be requested), the WRVS (who charge 45p per mile, cheaper than taxis) and services like the Order of Malta and Dial A Journey. Details and contact numbers are provided.
Regular bus users should have a look at the new timetable. It's mostly the same but there are some minor improvements, such as buses from Stirling now stopping at Gillieshill on Sundays.
There's also changes to the first bus into town on week- days. It leaves Underwood Cottages at 6.37am, loops round Gillieshill, now picks up at 7 Northend but only stops in Murray Place in town rather than the bus station. There's also an extra link from the bus station to Cambusbarron at 7.36am on weekdays. It reaches Gillieshill at 8am.
This information is only of use if it reaches the people who can be helped by it. Please pass this newsletter on to anyone in the community council area that could bene- fit from it.
