The Cambusbarron CC area is set to become altogether more colourful in the weeks to come. There will be new tubs of flowers in Birkhill Road and Polmaise Road with garden centre firm Dobbies delivering the permanent plants on June 10.
And new baskets filled with bedding plants have been developing nicely under cover at the Homesteads Garden Centre and some may already be in situ in the village by the time you read this newsletter.
John Brittan has also been busy strimming roadside verges and he was involved in a litter pick with Cambusbarron Primary School's Eco Group on June 3.
PS: The Kenningknowes Residents Association has also been busy making their environment more attractive. Thanks mostly to the efforts of resident John Miller, and Chris Davis there are now eight splendid new tubs in place which have transformed the dreary tarmac of the former swingpark area at the woodland path near Coneypark.
