They say that the council's LDP is "fundamentally flawed" because it does not identify enough sites to meet the area's housing needs over a five-year period.
Cambusbarron Community Council has campaigned at length in recent years to stop any further housing development because its infrastructure, notably school provision, is already stretched to capacity.
It's also felt that the character of the community would be lost if a massive new development went ahead. To date, Stirling Council has agreed with the community council's view.
Now, however, the big guns from Hallam and CEG are trying to bring pressure to bear on Stirling Council by launching representations to Holyrood.
At the September CCC meeting, it was reiterated that potential developers would be told in very clear terms that the community does not want any further housing.
The Scottish Government's response to the developers' appeals is not expected until December this year at the earliest.
