Three dedicated councillors retired at the election - Keith Henry, Arline Brisbane and Moira Anderson. The community owes them a huge debt of gratitude for the work they have done over the years.
However, three brand-new councillors have stepped forward. There is the mother-and-daughter team of Nuala and Corinne Robinson, of Cauldhame Crescent, plus Keith Ratcliffe, of Parkdyke.
Agreeing to stand again for another term are Peter Paterson, Douglas Campbell, Marion MacAllister, Cathy Graham, Scott McLean and Alan Rennie.
In a letter to each of the members of the new CC, Stirling Council chief executive Bob Jack said: "The strength of our local democracy depends on people such as yourself being willing to take an interest in community affairs."
Major change in the office-bearers announced at the inaugural meeting on November 19 was the appointment of Nuala Robinson as secretary in succession to Douglas Campbell, whose immense background knowledge and attention to detail will make him a hard act to follow.
Peter and Marion continue as chair and treasurer respectively while Alan adds the planning brief to his vice-chair role.
